More Geek Than Gay
You got me, your big ol' gay geek host Edward, ranting and rambling about whatever pops into my head while Joseph tries desperately to keep me on track. Opinions, News, Vlog, and whatever entertainment pops into my head at the time. Listen for comic books, sci-fi, horror, table-top games, gay shows, cats, drag queens, author news and much more. Keep your hands inside the interwebs, do not feed the hosts, and children should be accompanied by adults at all times.

Episode 50 - We're Fifty! or I Love Australians

Look at us!  The big 50!

Not years, but episodes!  Wooooo!

And in this one we got a bunch.

Joseph starts off the shenanigans and announces our new sponcor - Compete Magazine!  Also he give us the skinny on a contest where you can win autographed works by Marsheila Rockwell and around 20 other authors!  Good Gravy!
Then I join the fun and mention the book sale I went to and how Joseph with to the Gay Rodeo, then it is time for the first part of our interview with Gini Koch - you've heard us talk about her, now experience her yourself!  We get a quick tour of Joshua Tree Feeding Program, talk about Broadway, a bit o' movie chat, answer questions and share a little love with Patrick from Screamqueenz (with a Z!)

Dang.  How do we do it?  I dunno, but I bet it has something to do with you all!  Thanks and keep it coming!

Episode 49 - Not Podfading, or I Think We Mention Phoenix Comic Con

Maybe we should change the date these are to be posted...anyway...

The week has been kicking my butt, but Joseph and I still manage a quick time together to talk about King of the Nerds, Almost Human, Phoenix Comic Con, and a few other things.

Please feel free to leave comments.  We love comments!  And make sure to catch us again for the next episode, the 50th!  Woot!

Episode 48 - Joseph Keeps On Truckin', or I've Got Nuthin'!

I don't know why, but my mind was completely blank of any news.

But Joseph saves the day!
There is a Super-bowl party which was quite nerd friendly.  And bowling and darts too.  We saw the finale of American Horror Story and hit some Birthday greetings.
And I offer flavor text.

Thank you all for being with us and we look forward to your comments!

Episode 47 - More Nerd Than Geek, or Dig All That Phlegm!

Two things before we get started.

1) I have a cold.

2) Further research into the Geek and Nerd thing indicates that it will be revisiting.  Soon.

Anyway, Joseph is back from California and we talk about a bunch of stuff.  I start out with talk of Isaac Asimov and HIV, then move onto a few thoughts brought to mind by a great piece written by comic book great, Paul Kupperburg.  Listen to the podcast, then read what he wrote here... (or vice-versa, I don't think it will matter).
Then Joseph tells us about his trip with Gini Koch.  He brings up the idea os Superfans, which leads me to discuss my thoughts about Nerd Culture Appropriation, based on some weird information I found on the whole Geek vs. Nerd debate.  We discuss what we just saw on American Horror Story and on Rachel vs. Guy.  I mention the anniversary of Dungeons and Dragons,

Joseph then makes sure to remind you all about our upcoming interview on the BlogGoddessradio with Tina Marie Williams -  It will be live, and you can call in to ask us questions at (347) 838-9025.  Then we address listener feedback!

Thank you for being part of all this, and We look forward to your input!

Episode 46 - Two in One, or Parts Is Parts

well, this is on time-ish.  Or would have been if it had successfully uploaded, darn it!

We thought that we would only be doing part of the episode with Joseph, but then we got the whole deal!

We talked about American Horror Story, Bad Karaoke Contests, Face Off, my problems with Fantasy Fiction, Project Runway, and reviews on works by T. M. Williams and Darryl Dawson.  Oh, and I also take a moment to explain why I am always urging the iTune reviews and ratings.

We respond to comments and remind people that we will be interviewed next week.  What?  You didn't know?  We are being interviewed on The Blog Goddess Radio on January, 30th 2014 at 9:00pm EST (6:00pm PT).  It will be live, and you can even call in with questions.  The number is (347) 838-9025.  We look forward to hearing from you!

Thank you for being part of our family and we look forward to hearing from you.

Episode 45 - DarkCon, or "Wait! Then Who the Hell Is Aiden Quinn"

Joseph and I went to DarkCon this weekend.  Our friend Gini Koch was the Author Guest of Honor, and we went to help her out and offer whatever support we could.  In the process we got to hang out with many other fun people, some old, some new.

Follow along as we talk about the whole thing, including some moments where "You are there!".

Thank you for helping us grow, and please comment or ask questions.

(if you have a spare moment, hey, a 5-star review on iTunes would be fantastic!)

Episode 44 - Hey, We Are a Year and So Old!

Wow! Here we are!

Let's see...
American Horror Story: Coven
Walking Dead
Paul Dini
Wonder Woman
Miss Ebony
and much more...

I thank you all for helping us grow.
Oh, and I know that I said I would link up a story, but I can't figure out how that would work.  And I apologize for the sound issues - we were having some recordings issues and we worked them out best we could, but the sound did suffer for it.
The closing song was a performance by Miss Ebony, but you don't see that on an audio podcast, do you?  But you do get to hear a couple drunks, so that is something.

DarkCon info is here -

Morrie Carter's/Ms. Ebony's Memorial Service will be held:
Saturday, January 11th at 12:00 Noon
at The Alwun House Gardens

Episode 43 - Jinkies! The New Millenium Is Officially A Teenager!

Late!  Surprise!

I was almost announcing that there would be no show this week, but then I listened to Patrick doing his ScreamQueenz podcast and a brilliant idea came to me.  I hope you enjoy!

Again, I cannot thank you all enough for helping make the relaunch so successful.  Please leave comments and questions, and we will catch you next week!

Episode 42 - Look Mummy! A Boxing Day Miracle!

oh my lord!  I am starting out with thanking everyone for their support last episode.  We are building back up from the hiatus so quickly, it makes me all warm and fuzzy inside, like a caterpillar in a deep fryer!  Thank you!

Second, we all knew a regular episode wasn't happening for Christmas, right?  You all really should have told me.  So what we get here is a (mostly) family appropriate set of music and clips.  Dawn Davenport ruined family time for everyone, but what do you expect from someone who was eating a meatball sandwich right out in class?

Listen to Honey Cone, Blue Magic (brought to you by Coke, McDonald's, and the good people at Chevrolet), Mame, Akim and Teddy Vann, Snow Miser and Heat Miser, and the lovely Lois Bromfield.

Let's see if it is a normal episode for the New Year, or more clips and music.  You probably know better than i do.

Again, thank you all, and as always, leave comments and questions!
