More Geek Than Gay
You got me, your big ol' gay geek host Edward, ranting and rambling about whatever pops into my head while Joseph tries desperately to keep me on track. Opinions, News, Vlog, and whatever entertainment pops into my head at the time. Listen for comic books, sci-fi, horror, table-top games, gay shows, cats, drag queens, author news and much more. Keep your hands inside the interwebs, do not feed the hosts, and children should be accompanied by adults at all times.

Episode 59b - Dogs and Dragqueens, or, Bigger Batteries Would Be Good

I told you I would get joseph in the next episode - although, I think I might be thinking of it as a continuation of the prior episode.  I dunno.  The verdicts is still out on how this is going to play.

Anyway, Joseph is still house-sitting, so we still didn't have a lot of our normal stuff to talk about since he has been been around to read/watch/whatknot.  Heck, I barely got him in for this week's RuPaul's Drag Race.

So we talk about that, and the dogs he is watching, and our anniversary.  Not the show's, but Joseph and I.  Six years now, and no bloodshed yet!

Also got you storytime again.  this week's story is dedicated to Marsheila Rockwell, who is down with a broken toe and also a big Wonder Woman fan.  So a pivotal issue of 70's Wonder Woman it is - issue 212 as a matter of fact.

I thank you all for your continued support and look forward to your comments.

Episode 59 - Flying Without A Net, or Storytime, Which Will Be Shorter Next Time, I Swear

Hey Hey!

Joseph is house-sitting, so it is up to me ot keep things running.
Which I do, but all the things I thought of talking about were things for both of us!  So then what?

I told you about my week, which will make the recipe make sense soon.  Then I go into talking about Phoenix ComiCon and Phoenix Leprecon.  I share some info about Beware the Batman, and i introduce storytime (which in the future I will do without so much introducing...just into the goods, you know!)

Speaking of which, "Unchain My Heart" written by Glenn Herdling and art by M. C. Wyman & Sandu Florea.

I thank you all for being there and look forward to your comments.
and check out our next episode on Sunday or Monday!  - Yup, a second one!

Episode 58 - Getting The Geek Back, or Boy, Does Joseph Look Bored

First - Happy Easter!

Joseph and I are back, getting our geek back whether he is ready for it or not.

We of course talk about our week, but then launch into RuPaul's Drag Race, Project Runway Under the Gun, and The Face.
Then I bring it around to another show we just started watching, Metal Hurlant.  I also bring up recent stuff with DC and Marvel Comics, and my thoughts on season 1 of the e-book White Space.

And of course we have to give our thoughts on the recent trans-vocabulary controversy from RuPaul.

We thank you all for your support and we look forward to your comments!

Episode 56 - We Are Filled With Content, or It's Not The Length That Matters, But How Deep It Feels

We are slowly but surely getting caught up on everything, so we of course share it all with you!

After we catch up on Joseph's week, we talk about comics - Archie/Red Circle, God is Dead, Moon Knight, and others - then we go on to books.  Joseph shares his thoughts on Timeless by Alexandra Monir, and then I give my thoughts on self-published authors.  There is an update on The Pink Angels, then Joseph and I give you the lowdown on RuPaul's Drag Race and The Face (and Under The Gun, if you are keeping track).
oh my gosh, there is more...
Let's see...I chat a bit about my future involvement in Phoenix Leprecon and Joseph let's eveeryone know about Gini Koch's mini book tour in May.
phew...
And there are comments, a little sad news about a family pet, some inappropriate talk about stairwells at ASU, and Garfield keeps us in check.

We thank you so much for all your support and we look forward to your comments!

Episode 55 - Making Up For Lost Time, or Was That Dan Haggerty Hitting On Some Dude In Bad Drag?

We are both giddy from lack of sleep, but that doesn't keep us away from you, my sweets!

Joseph leads us into RuPaul's Drag Race right off the start, then The Face (anyone actually watch that show?)
I have managed to get in a little stuff, and tell you all about the movie The Pink Angels, comic books Elephantmen and The Second Life of Doctor Mirage, and a bit of Bizzaro fiction.
Interspersed we have drinking, podcasts, twitter, cookies and other fun stuff.

Thank you all for supporting us and we look forward to your comments!

Episode 54 - Joseph Has It Going, or I Just Shut Up

First, in case I butcher them too badly, I try for greetings in Estonian, Portuguese, Chinese, Filipino, and Australian.  I am even working on the Australian National Anthem!

Joseph is back from the Tucson Book Festival with stories.
We also talk about RuPaul's Drag Race and the finale of King of the Nerds.
Don't forget to listen to Joseph tonight on The Blog Goddess.

And as always, thank you all for your support and keep those comments coming!

Bonus - It Starts With Hades And Ends With Peter Allen, or Fun Death!

A Quick collection of fun songs about everyone's favorite pass-time, DEATH! (We're all dying to do it, you know.)

Joseph has the recording equipment, so I had to make do with my phone for the in between bits, but it is really the music you are here for anyway.

I hope you all enjoy it and come back on Thursday (after listening to Joseph on The Blog Goddess of course) for the latest episode.

And as always, thanks for all your support and comments.

Episode 53 - Keeping on Schedule, or Was That It?

Life sometimes catches up with you.

And sometimes it kicks you in the nards.

this is not one of those latter times, but we are still somewhat skipping this week.

A quick reminder of what is coming up, and a lovely parting song.

And we shall be back next Thursday, all rested up and fresh as a flippin' daisy.

thank you all for being with us.

Episode 52 - Dragqueenz and Nerdz, or Keeping the Satyr in Mind

It's me and Joseph...I mean, Jagi!

Yup, we figured out how to add more gay...

Anyway, I start things out with some talk about the upcoming Dungeons and Dragons 5th Edition release, while the bird and I argue.
Then we go right into it.  Joseph has caught up on some comic books so we chat about that, then we go on to King of the Nerds and RuPaul's Drag Race.  We respond to comments and of course talk about all sorts of other things, like Gini Koch books, Screamqueenz, Archer, my pod-bombing Tina on The Blog-Goddess, and of course a mention of the titularly mentioned Satyr, Scott of the Satyrsphere podcast.
I sneak back in at the end to give a quick opinion/rant about the whole Hugo Awards/Johnathon Ross debacle (a weird technical thing happened there, so it skips in two places...sorry).

Thanks for being here with us, and keep it coming - we will.

oh yeah, and my hair is blue.
