More Geek Than Gay
You got me, your big ol' gay geek host Edward, ranting and rambling about whatever pops into my head while Joseph tries desperately to keep me on track. Opinions, News, Vlog, and whatever entertainment pops into my head at the time. Listen for comic books, sci-fi, horror, table-top games, gay shows, cats, drag queens, author news and much more. Keep your hands inside the interwebs, do not feed the hosts, and children should be accompanied by adults at all times.

Episode 12 - Breath That Fresh Air -cough cough-

A little late.
But earlier than the last one.  So this is good.

It is ranty rambling week.  We all cleaned off the patio and so I decided to do this episode outside with the outside ladies.  I eat breakfast and spend too much time saying hello to cats.

Then I chat about the week in work and  my gay shows, although with my publishing schedule last week I am missing some of my shows, darn it.

The outside world seems to encourage me to say "umm" a lot while a talk about Doctor Who, a little more Superman, and comic books.  Oh! And I talk about a new (most likely horrible) movie I discovered, which stars one of my favorite actors, Jeffrey Combs!

I got a great guinea pig update for you, and of course the advice to check out Joshua Tree Freeding Program ( www.jtfp.org ) and also a heads-up that I might be guiding your towards helping out my ex's new business in Tucson working with the developmentally disabled.

While it didn't make it to the podcast, a special shout out to Michele who has been a constant source of input.  And this is a great help since I am hoping to start with iTunes next week.  Give me input and some topic ideas.  Ask me stuff!  I will respond here and on the podcast.  (oh, Say howdy to my new listener in Belgium!  How many new new people can I get to help launch the iTunes?)

Episode 11 - I'm Super, Thanks For Asking!

Well, I am semi-super.  Ended up with a minor sinus infection and that makes for an interesting podcast.

But here is the Superman podcast I promised!  All sorts of Superman stuff ahead.

Siegel and Shuster, the creators of Superman, and their eventual battles with DC Comics, as well as the religious tones to his origin.

Super powers, super friends, super pets, super intelligence, kryptonite and all those mysterious L's.

Movies, television, cartoons, radio, George Reeves, Christopher Reeve and the dreamy Dean Cain.

All this plus a guest appearance from Streaky Zor-El who does not seem to understand how audio podcasts work.

Of course some gay shows, updates on the guinea pig, a noisy bird, and other goodies, swimming in a non-sequential sinus brain.  And a shout out to Joshua Tree Feeding Program ( www.joshuatree.org ) and The Hero Initiative ( www.heroinitiative.org ).

And if you stick around, you get to hear my other half Joseph give his opinion on the Cosmic Boy bustier.  Everyone has to be exposed to the Legion of Super-Heroes whore days at sometime.

So there are two blank spots in the podcast.  The first is about 4 minutes long, and if you fast forward, you wont even notice anything.  the second one is also about 5 minutes long, but it blocks out a bunch of stuff about Dean Cain and the Smallville and the cartoons...the source recordings are fine, but when they get processed, the same two spots disappear each time.  Sorry 'bout that.  Not even a clue what the problem is this time.

Episode 10 - This Episode Needs No Title

You have to love an episode that is titled after an obscure book by my favorite Logician (Raymond Smullyan if you want to check him out.)

This is a rant week!  Randomness and rantiness prevail.

There are cats, and distraction because of cats.  Work talk.  Babbling about geekitude.  Marvel Role Playing Games.  A little gay shows with RuPaul and Project Runway (worst season ever), and a dash of Face-Off.  Beard talk and a shout out for losing 5 pounds.  An update on Sally the fat guinea pig.  And an innocent Sesame Street song gone wrong.

Don't forget to check out Joshua Tree Feeding Program if you are looking for a good cause - www.jtfp.org

Oh!  I know I have commented about comments before - well, I have found out that the comments were down here.  They have been fixed, so it seems, so let's test this out.

and if you want to see me in my scruffy glory, you can find this week's episode on YouTube as well.

catch you all next week for Superman (For reals this time).

Episode 9 - I am soooooooo tired.

I promised you all a Superman episode.

I said this would be that episode.

Well...how about in two weeks instead?

Instead, I get a false start, talk about my poor little Guinea Pig Sally, whine a little, talk a bit about some horror stuff, and...I think I yell at a bird...I am not sure what all happens this time to be honest.

but listen anyway.  You know, cause I am your great electronic buddy-guy.

And I want to say that the next episode will be this Sunday, but I feel it better we take a wait-see approach.  It will be just my semi-weekly RambleRant.

Finsh your week well!
